Okay, so here's the deal... I've had this blog set up for literally years. I was just trying to avoid using it as long as possible, but then I graduated and got bored. So, I thought that using a blog would help me fill up some time, and it will at least help me keep up on my writing skills. :) I am actually kind of bummed that I'm not going to classes today on campus with everyone else.
Well, I graduated in December, with my lovely degree in English. I'm still not sure exactly what I will be doing now, but it will come to me. I have a very part time job as a Publications Assistant on campus, so I need to stay in Logan long enough to fulfill my commitment there. I'm currently looking for another job. One, so that I am not so bored all day long. Two, so that I can pay for all of the other changes in my life.
While my parents were in town for my graduation, my dad and I spent two full days car hunting. Man! I tell you, I never want to do that again. It's so much work, and sales people are so annoying! I did win overall, though. I bought myself a 2002 Ford Focus. The best part? It's an awesome green! I just have to re familiarize myself with driving a manual, but it's going well.
.
And, just this week, I moved out of my grandparents house, by the command of my father. I must admit that I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, I value my independence, so this is a good thing, and my roommate is one of my good friends. She's great and the apartment is in the Blackhawk condominiums in Logan and it's really nice. On the other hand, I have a very hard time dealing with change. And, I think it's kinda silly to move across town, away from family, to start paying rent when it's not necessary. Oh well. It will be a good growing experience for me and I guess that's what matters. :)

Look at this....I just may be the first comment posted on your newly invigorated blog!
Ah...the decisions and vagaries (is that a word? I think so...but hey, you're the English major!) of life, and particularly those right after college graduation!
Since some of us are still trying to figure out what we want to do when we grow up, I wouldn't feel too bad. On the other hand, good luck with all your efforts to find out and end up where you will be happy and feel some satisfaction in what you are doing.
No doubt, things will work out - despite the changes that are, no doubt, inevitable, but no less unwelcome.
We'll continue to keep our eyes open!
Yay! A blog from Kandi! I'm excited to read all about your adventures. I wasn't too surprised to hear that you moved but I was shocked that it was your dad's doing! I just figured you were ready to be on your own now. Good luck with the job hunt. You are awesome and I hope you find something fabulous. If you need something to get you by, try substitute teaching. I don't know what it's like in Logan, but in SLC I could work any day that I wanted. I just registered up here and will hopefully get to start next week.
Yay! You gave in! You are writing in a blog - hopefully you'll be better about updating it than I am. I love reading about other people, I'm just too lazy to do it myself. :) I hope the job hunt goes well and your new place looks awesome!
yay for independence!! you will like it soon enough. :) at least you're not all alone. now that is no fun. ;)
congrats again on your graduation! that is so neat! i can't believe all the snow though! brrrr! i bet THAT was cold!
i want to wish you good luck in finding the job you want most. :) i hope you find exactly what you're looking for to fill the time you'd like.
but in the meantime, i'm glad you established a blog so we can read all about you on a daily basis!!!
:)
Well look at you all grown up and blogging! Congrats on the graduation from college and the graduation to your own home and car. Good luck on the job hunt. You could always look up further north, say in Idaho Falls, it's even colder here than in Logan! We got a very sweet letter from Elder Landon the other day. Seems like he likes his mission. All the best to you, come see us. Bibi
